WHO WE ARE
The Millenium Educational Center was founded on February 1st, 1999 in Penha Circular. It started with classes from kindergarten up to ninth grade, also offering all day classes starting with four months old and up.
Since the beginning the school stablished an infrastructure school with a high quality of the teaching staff in the neighborhood, with a high qualified pedagogical proposal for the proposed levels, the founders would like to be recognized as an institution by society for the excellence in its services and educational care.
The numbers of students have grown faster and it’s motivated us to keep working, always seeking to improve the services to our students. In 2006, we opened our second branch in Vila da Penha with classes up to 5th grade and all day classes from four months old.
In 2017, we opened our third branch in Barra da Tijuca with a different conception from our other branches, we started Bilingual Education in its pedagogical proposal, in order to promote the citizenship of our students, believing in integral education. We understand that playing contributes to the development of cognitive, motor, social, and emotional skills. In this way, we consider that children are subjects and agents of their own learning, valuing coexistence, relationships, discoveries, and multidisciplinary. We seek to awaken curiosity, strengthen self-esteem, and the pleasure of learning, by providing activities that lead them to have autonomy in the construction of their identity and culture.
We attend to children from 4 months old up to Elementary School.

INSTALLATIONS
One of the priorities of the Millennium Educational Center is: modern and cozy facilities with fully air-conditioned rooms, with desks suitable to meet the needs of students. Comfortable and safe environments to better develop the entire educational process.
Our space has a complete infrastructure to serve regular-time students, as well as full-time ones.
"We have a specialized technical team: Pedagogical Guidance, Pedagogical Coordination, Nutritionist, Secretaries, Faculty and pedagogical team with higher education and postgraduate training, Physical Education, Ballet, Judo, Capoeira, Music and English. In addition to daycare assistants. , nurseries, cooks, janitors and maintenance and cleaning assistants.
As an incentive for professional improvement, the CEM Bilingual team assiduously participates in training offered by the school, which values and promotes the continuing education of groups of teachers and employees involved in the unit. Through many meetings throughout the school year, the professionals participate in internal courses for teacher education and training for the entire team."

We have partnerships with the Eleva Teaching Platform and with the School of Intelligence Program.
The material on the Eleva platform is organized respecting the fields of experience and learning rights provided for by the BNCC. Promoting in this way shared work, the individual and social growth of our students, exploring the "learning by playing" as a decisive element for learning, making the
joining the playful activity with the real, increasing children's perception of themselves and their place in the world.
The School of Intelligence methodology is based on the Multifocal Intelligence Theory, which analyzes the functioning of the mind, the phenomena that build thoughts and emotions, and provides techniques for the formation of thinkers and for personal, social and professional development.
